One Drop Community Organization is building a pathway for people to move from community service to community investment and cooperative participation.

Our goal is to help marginalized melanated communities reconnect with land, agriculture, skills, economic opportunity, cultural knowledge, and collective resources.

Membership is designed to meet people where they are. You can begin by volunteering your time and skills, become a sustaining member, participate in community agricultural projects, and ultimately qualify for participation in cooperative ventures and land-based economic development.

🌱 LEVEL 1 — COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER

FREE

Start by giving your time.

This is the entry point for people who want to contribute without a financial commitment.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

Genealogy and historical research
Community mapping
Agricultural projects
Gardening and food production
Land and property research
Community outreach
Media and content creation
Administrative support
Event support
Research assistance
Youth and educational programs

Member benefit:

🌿 LEVEL 2 — COMMUNITY MEMBER

$10 / MONTH

Become an active member of the One Drop community.

Community Members help create a consistent foundation for One Drop programs while gaining access to member education and community activities.

Community discussions
Educational resources
Volunteer opportunities
Member events
Community project information
Eligibility to participate in selected One Drop initiatives

🌾 LEVEL 3 — COMMUNITY SUSTAINER

$25 / MONTH

Help sustain the work.

Sustainers provide recurring financial support for community programs, research, agricultural development, education, and organizational infrastructure.

Includes everything in Community Membership, plus:

Sustainer recognition
Expanded educational resources
Agricultural/cooperative education
Priority information about upcoming projects
Invitations to selected member discussions
Opportunities to support specific community initiatives

Your contribution helps turn community participation into community infrastructure.

🧑🏾‍🌾 LEVEL 4 — COMMUNITY BUILDER

$50 / MONTH

Move from supporting the work to helping build it.

Community Builders are members interested in actively participating in the development of One Drop's agricultural and community economic initiatives.

Includes:

Agricultural education
Cooperative economics education
Community development workshops
Participation in selected agricultural projects
Project planning opportunities
Skills-sharing opportunities
Eligibility for consideration for community project teams

🌳 LEVEL 5 — LAND & RESOURCE STEWARD

$100 / MONTH

Help build the land-based foundation.

This level is designed for members who want to contribute more substantially toward the development of land, agriculture, community resources, and long-term economic infrastructure.

Includes:

Everything in previous levels
Land acquisition education
Agricultural project planning
Cooperative development education
Participation in land/community planning discussions where appropriate
Opportunities to contribute professional or specialized skills
Priority consideration for qualifying community development projects

Stewardship principle:

We don't simply want access to land. We want to learn how to steward it, develop it, protect it, and create sustainable economic activity from it.

🤝 LEVEL 6 — COOPERATIVE PARTNER

$250 / MONTH

Enter the partnership pathway.

Cooperative Partners are members who want to move beyond membership into deeper participation in One Drop's agricultural cooperative development.

Includes:

Everything in previous levels
Cooperative development education
Agricultural enterprise planning
Participation in qualifying cooperative discussions
Opportunities to contribute capital, labor, expertise, equipment, or other resources
Project development opportunities
Priority consideration for qualifying cooperative ventures
Eligibility to apply for participation in specific cooperative projects

Important:

Cooperative Partner membership does not itself transfer ownership of land, property, equipment, businesses, or other assets.

Ownership or equity participation, when available, will be established through a separate cooperative, partnership, LLC, land trust, or other appropriate legal structure and agreement.

🏡 LEVEL 7 — FOUNDING / OWNERSHIP PATHWAY

$500+ / MONTH

For individuals and organizations prepared to make a substantial long-term commitment.

This level is designed for people who want to help capitalize and develop specific One Drop community and agricultural ventures.

Contributions may potentially support:

Land acquisition
Agricultural infrastructure
Housing development
Farm operations
Equipment
Community facilities
Food production
Cooperative enterprises
Business development
Community economic infrastructure

Participation may include:

Strategic development discussions
Cooperative planning
Agricultural enterprise development
Capital planning
Project-specific investment opportunities
Leadership and advisory opportunities
Consideration for qualifying ownership/cooperative opportunities

Ownership Pathway

Participation in an ownership opportunity is project-specific and subject to the legal structure, governing documents, eligibility requirements, due diligence, and agreements established for that particular venture.

Membership is not a guarantee of ownership or financial return.

OUR ECONOMIC MODEL

One Drop is exploring a community-centered model based on the principle:

CONTRIBUTION → PARTICIPATION → STEWARDSHIP → OWNERSHIP

Not everyone can contribute the same thing.

One person may contribute money.

Another may contribute labor.

Another may contribute agricultural knowledge.

Another may contribute land research.

Another may contribute construction skills.

Another may contribute business expertise.

Another may contribute technology, media, education, or community organizing.

The objective is to create structures where different forms of contribution can help build collective capacity.

MEMBER CONTRIBUTION MODEL

Members may contribute through multiple forms of participation:

TIME

Volunteer hours and community service.

MONEY

Membership dues and qualifying project contributions.

SKILLS

Professional, agricultural, technical, artistic, organizational, or trade skills.

RESOURCES

Equipment, materials, supplies, technology, or other resources.

KNOWLEDGE

Historical, cultural, agricultural, business, educational, or community knowledge.

LAND

Where legally appropriate, landowners may explore partnerships, leases, easements, or cooperative arrangements.

NETWORK

Members can introduce people, organizations, businesses, institutions, and resources that strengthen the community.

OWNER / OPERATOR ROLE

Sean Ryan Crutchfield

Owner / Operator

Sean Ryan Crutchfield serves as the Owner/Operator responsible for helping develop the organizational infrastructure, partnerships, research initiatives, membership systems, community programs, agricultural opportunities, and cooperative development strategy of One Drop Community Organization.

The Owner/Operator role is focused on building the bridge between individual participation and organized community development.

The objective is to create a functioning pathway where people can move from:

"I want to help."

"I am participating."

"I am helping build."

"I have a stake in what we are building."
