The One Drop Community trains volunteer and paid research assistants to help families rediscover their ancestral records, land history, and cultural lineage.

Through our live training sessions, you will learn how to research:

Locate deeds, tax records, and land patents tied to ancestral property.

Understand how to trace ancestors through Freedmen's Bank records.

Discover land ownership and agricultural activity through farm schedules.

Trace family lineage through wills and estate documents.

Locate obituaries, legal notices, and community stories.
